DRIVE
This movie was WAY too long and drawn out. Maybe 20 minutes of action in the whole movie. spent way too much time on watching him drive and it took the actors too long to do anything.

PIANO LAS VEGAS- STARRING RYAN AHERN
Amazing show! Best Pianist I have ever seen!!
I was taken to see this show because I have played piano since I was a child. I was not prepared for this amazing pianist to take me on such an amazing journey through music. His fingers were so fast, and the show went by in a flash. I could have gone again and again all week if I didn`t need to go home. Truly wonderful, the most gifted pianist I have ever seen. Fun music! We got to meet him after the show. Go see it!

The King`s Speech
SPELL BINDING! Will see it again! Finally a movie where REAL ACTING takes center stage over any special affects or the overdone and irritating "speed" views from one place/person/thing to another accompanied by the equally irritating "whoosh" sound.

Skin Trade The Movie
What`s your skin worth? You will be surprised by Skin Trade
That’s the underlying question of Skin Trade – the new award-winning movie that takes aim at the fur industry, which spares no lies and deception tactics to prey on unassuming consumers and lure them into buying their goods.
Nowadays, real animal fur is not only in pricey couture, but even in FAUX fur – and the shocking reality is that this could be domestic cats and dogs, animals that could be stolen from homes - and sometimes still wear their collars!
Watch Skin Trade and find out what to look for and what to avoid!
This is the most important movie of the year if you love animals and want to contribute to their well-being!

EASY A-SOLD OUT!
Great Movie!
This movie was fun to watch and reminded me a lot of the *80;s movies it referenced like Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Say Anything... I wish they would make more movies in this style of comedy... not TOO "over the top" or TOO "painful to watch" like some Ben Stiller and Will Ferrel movies I have seen.

SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD- SOLD OUT!
wow
I was expecting it to be a good movie, not a great one. I was pleasantly surprised. This movie was AWESOME! It is now my new favorite movie; no joke...
This is a romantic comedy / action adventure you`ll want to bring the wife AND the guys to.
It`s like Final Fantasy, Mortal Kombat, Band Hero, Mega Man, and Super Mario all in one.
With no boring slow bits; this movie is action packed and relevant beginning to end. Don`t miss one minute of this movie or you will be lost the rest of the film.

GET HIM TO THE GREEK-SOLD OUT!
LOL funny!
Get Him to the Greek was a very funny movie. Not a movie to see if you`re easily offended. This movie was original and exciting. It made me wonder what was going to happen next...Then when it happened, I was usually "lmao" from shock!
Just remember, if you are ever in this situation- don`t try the "Jeffery". Haa haa!

MacGruber
Upper-Decker :)
This movie was really funny! I used to watch MacGyver as a kid so I guess you have to be in that age range to really appreciate it. I enjoyed the cast as well. There are some parts in the movie that were unexpected and original, that`s what made it great.
During this movie, you will learn another meaning for "upper-decker". Not just used for baseball seats anymore... LOL!

LETTERS TO JULIET-BRENDEN PALMS!
Letters To Juliet
Even though the end was predictable, it was still an adventure to watch the trials and tribulations that the threesome experienced in chasing after a fifty year old dream. There was some long drawn out moments, but it did make you comtemplate and ask yourself if you left any important parts of your life unfinished. I think I would have liked to see a couple of flashbacks of a young Claire. If they were there, I missed them.

THE LAST SONG
The Last Song
Being an Avid Reader of Nicholas Sparks` fine work, I was amazed of how well the movie followed his book.(I later found out that he wrote the screenplay before the book). As this was Miley Cyrus` first debut movie away from the "Hannah Montanna" scene, I can`t help to say that she was a great young actress. The only part that killed me was the fact that she was with Liam Hemsworth and NOT ME! LOL, despite that, Great Movie, A tear jerker, and I look forward to Nicholas Spark`s next movie, The Lucky One.

THE BOUNTY HUNTER
It`s not always over when we say it is
The Bounty Hunter started off with a few twists and turns and in the end it went 360 degrees and back.
I thought it was going to be a "Girlie Movie" as my husband refers to romantic movies. It had romance and it had mystery, coruption, and travel as well. The tension between the Ex-married couple ran parallel to the tension of the compulsive gambling, and the pitfalls of it. The
Greed of the corrupt police officer caused doubt and confusion between the Ex`s and a friend on the department.
This movie was entertaining, it had action, and it makes one examine your own relationships, and the reasons
We do and say what we do, but don`t always mean what we say.

REPO MEN
REPO MEN BY VICTORIA ALEXANDER
It’s our introduction to the extreme, grisly filmmaking style of Takashi Miike and Chan-wook Park. Worth seeing through your fingers.
REPO MEN goes beyond horror mining the extreme style of Japan’s Takashi Miike’s 2001 film KOROSHIYA 1 (ICHI THE KILLER) and his 1999 film ÔDISHON (AUDITION). In fact, it lifts a carnage fight scene right from South Korea’s Chan-wook Park’s 2003 film, OLDBOY.
Wrong director for this project Steven Spielberg and Will Smith want to remake OLDBOY. But without the incest? What’s up with that, pray tell? So how will they explain the main character being locked up in a hotel room for fifteen years? What will ... [more]

ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Epic, but just maybe?
Alice in wonderland was not a movie that would make your jaw drop, or even stare in awe. It was just a simple movie with outstanding effects and make up. Johnny Depp`s performance though is never disappointing. If it probably wasn`t for him in the movie, then it wouldn`t be a blockbuster hit. Yet, I still love the Cheshire Cat with all my heart :)

THE CRAZIES
THE CRAZIES by Victoria Alexander at filmsinreview.com
Mindless fun. Why are all survivors of horror movies stupid? I didn’t learn a thing about how to survive zombie-crazies but by dumb luck. When is someone going to organize zombies and give them a purpose?
A remake of George A. Romero’s 1973 THE CRAZIES – which none of us saw. When a new director takes on a horror movie, you never know what you will get. Hopefully, a new angle on an old theme. Director Breck Eisner does plenty with the stark, empty landscape of a small Midwestern town, Ogden Marsh, giving it a horror-like atmosphere. It’s vast, gloomy, and unfriendly.
Once again though, we have stupid people trying to survive.
The town’s sheriff, David ... [more]

EDGE OF DARKNESS
Edge of Darkness By Victoria Alexander FimsinReview .com
Gibson expresses a grief that is heartbreaking.
Established movie star actresses are always griping about lack of roles for women over 40. Well, when 40 year old actresses will play their age – that we all know anyhow – without vanity, then there will be roles for them. Madonna, 51, cannot have the movie career she has lusted after because she refuses to play her age. She wants to be the ingénue.
In EDGE OF DARKNESS Mel Gibson allows the camera to dwell on his harshly wrinkled face. He’s playing a realistic character, a homicide detective, who has never even thought of using sun block or a moisturizer.
Can Mel Gibson win over movie audiences playing a grieving ... [more]

SHUTTER ISLAND
Shutter Island By Victoria Alexander Filmsinreview.com
DiCaprio memorably transcends Scorsese.
Depicting crazy people is always tough. They never comb their hair and the drugs, instead of making them catatonic zombies, seems to make them don maniacal faces. Didn’t sage Forest Gump say it best – “Crazy is as crazy does”?
With the exception of CAPE FEAR (Martin Scorsese had to follow the original material and De Niro’s pleasure in playing sadist Max Cody brought a strong sexual tension to the thriller), Scorsese is not a director who should be handling the horror genre. What SHUTTER ISLAND is missing is a sexual subtext which is a potent and horrifying dimension to nightmares.
In 1954, two ... [more]

THE WOLFMAN
Awesome movie
I saw the first every screening of this movie last October. Since then I have heard they have made some changes, but when I saw it, it was awesome! I loved every minute of it! It was extremely gory. It definitely deserves the R rating it was issued. The acting was AMAZING. There were a few parts where I was a little confused, so I am hoping that perhaps they have clarified those things, but nothing major. I definitely recommend seeing this movie.

SHERLOCK HOLMES
SHERLOCK HOLMES BY VICTORIA ALEXANDER
Great, energetic fun! Guy Ritchie is back and delivers a strong, gay romance. McAdams and Reilly are in the way of the “bromance”. Entire production excellent.
When I saw ROCKNROLA I said: Who is Mark Strong? Even Gerard Butler could tell Strong was walking away with the movie’s sex appeal. So, it came as no surprise that Ritchie cast Strong as the aristocratic villain in SHERLOCK HOLMES.
Downey, Jr., following George Clooney’s sage wisdom of not wearing film makeup, looks his age and gives his Sherlock Holmes (SH) the decadent, frown lines of a man who has lived through keen observation of others but neglectful interest in grooming himself for the ... [more]

SHERLOCK HOLMES
A Case of Intellectual Chemistry - Sherlock Holmes
I was a bit reserved seeing a Guy Ritchie cinematic film. I was never a real big fan. However Sherlock Holmes has made me re-evaluate Guys talent. And I was impressed. Intellectual Chemistry is the key. The subject matter and the actors the originator and the writers - every hit movie need the right combination, pace and tone and SH has all the ingredients.
Who would ever thought Downey and Law would embody the origination of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle or that Michael Johnson, Anthony Peckham & Simon Kinberg can modernize such a historical duo? Holmes & Watson, Holmes & Moriarty? The occult and the original mental Macgyver is afoot. The game is on so prepare for immersion into a ... [more]

THE PRINCESS AND THE FROG
Not just for kids!
Princess and the Frog provided much to the film making something that both children and adults can admite. The music (consisting of Dixieland, Jazz, Gospel, ect) in Princess and the Frog was brillant. It was nice to hear the variety representing New Orleans.
Adults can appreciate Disney`s return to 2-D animation- providing a nostalgic experience to the past.
Humor in the film was also provided for both children and adult entertainment.
Film leaves me salevating for the next 2-D Disney adventure. Too bad, we will not see this in the upcoming Rapunzel film.

AVATAR
Eye Candy- best 3-D film ever
Prior to seeing the film, I was informed that it was an amalgamation of space meets Dances with Wolves. The analogy was not too far off. The highlight of the film was the 3-D special effects sans doubt! Unlike any other 3-D film that I have seen, the effects were not always leaping out of the large screen in your face. 3-D was artistically used to give objects perspective. For example, background images unsually blurred out to show dimension, were completely visable with movement and dimensions. Film sets new standard for 3-D entertainment.

UP IN THE AIR
My life is up in the air.....
Great acting in the film. I am a frequent business traveller, like the main character. This made connecting to the main character easier for me as I could relate to his isolationist ways. The film was a constent promotion for Hilton Hotels and American Airlines. Would have been nice to have more character interaction/evolution than the not-so-subtle adversements.

Guido, the main character is a significant morally flawed character. His life is full of lies and affairs with women. His acting was horrible. Myself and friends watching the film felt no emotional attachment to him- not even during his moment of repentance. Fergie gave an all-star performance. I am not a fan of hers, yet her voice was amazing!

AVATAR
Finally a breath of non-breathable air!!
James Camerons latest epic is a must see - via IMAX® and 3D. Although compared to Dances With Wolves most critics need something to compare anything too as a reference. But when originality hits the screen words are oftentimes muddled for a lack of visual Vocabulary. A true fan can see how every film created by James prior too was the precursor to AVATAR. Yet don’t let the special effects oversee the strong story and drama elements. Key moments focus on the connection that most of us strive for in our lives. And the subtle undertone of how we humans (as movie goers) are effecting our Gaia (Spirit of Earth) is more of a two-by-Four to our foreheads and brilliant move by the ... [more]

THE BLIND SIDE
THE BLIND SIDE By Victoria Alexander
Writing is real-life strong, directing perfect, Bullock makes you believe she has lived this life, and McGraw can give up the road. He’s got an effortless charm.
I missed the first screening and tried – unsuccessfully – to miss the second, as my well-known lack of compassion for others certainly would be tested. I feared THE BLIND SIDE would be the standard Hollywood hankie weeper about a rich lady who saves a poor, homeless black boy from a life of hardship and turns him, against all odds, into a NFL star.
The trailer said it all.
So, writer-director John Lee Hancock and star Sandra Bullock were not going to get a sympathetic pass from me. I hate being given ... [more]

More of the Same
First let me say that the level of special effects in this film are amazing, the action is full out, and the premise is very good.
That said, the acting was wooden , the script is a rehash of ALL of the movies that came before it. There a the same old thing. The movie uses every tired gimmick that we have seen in every disaster movie (ever notice that the good guys never get a scratch).
But all in all it was alot of fun (even at 2 1/2 hours).

THE FOURTH KIND- Coming Soon to a theatre near you!
THE FOURTH KIND by Victoria Alexander (Feature)
With the viral success of “Paranormal Activity”, we now have controversy over “The Fourth Kind”. “Paranormal Activity” is presented as authentic. The film ends with the movie`s copyright protections and without any production credits. Due to the outstanding, surprising success, there will be “Paranormal Activity 2”.
Now we have “The Fourth Kind” that also deals with the paranormal. In this case, it is alien abductions. My friend Jacques Vallee (pictured with Jacques, Jeanne Vallee and Edgar Mitchell) coined the term. The film`s trailer states that the story is based on "actual case studies”. The movie shows the ... LAW ABIDING CITIZEN
Law Abiding Citizen By Victoria Alexander
Revenge is a dish best served cold by a very angry, naked Gerard Butler.
Yes, “Law Abiding Citizen” is a revenge fantasy, but do we really want to see the real life-stealing, agonizing paperwork of prosecutors and police officers? Do we really need to see Gerard Butler’s character digging a hole for 10 years?
Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) is a mild-mannered family man with a young daughter and a beautiful wife. A home invasion ends with Clyde wounded and his wife and daughter murdered. The sadistic thugs are caught but the assistant D.A., Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx), intent on maintaining his stellar conviction record, makes a sweet deal with one of the killers for a few ... [more]
